How it works

Savemyporn, like most search engines, has a spider crawling the web full time to retrieve new video and image galleries to add to its index. Each gallery must pass through a set of rules to ensure that it conforms with the standards set out by the site. The site also allows users to hand-submit galleries to be included into the index. These galleries must pass through the same set of rules as the galleries which are found with the spider. When the spider crawls each gallery it retrieves valuable information about the page such as the number of video or images, keywords, and thumbnails. When available, the spider saves 3 thumbnails for each gallery. This feature is unique to savemyporn.com and allows for a more accurate preview of each gallery in its search results. Presently there is over a million galleries in the index, and thousands more are being added on a daily basis.

Along with its search functions Savemyporn also maintains a list of thumbnail gallery post style pages. These adult galleries are broken up into several different genres such as abused, italian, and sauna. These pages have raised controversy among webmasters who claim that the inclusion of such pages compromises Savemyporn's "Adult Search Engine" status.
